On Sunday, April 20th, at 1:00 p.m.,
HALVASON and LVFS are jointly sponsoring a spring potluck picnic. We have reserved a covered area at Wayne Bunker
Family Park
located in the far northwest at 7351
West Alexander Road (southwest corner of Alexander
and Tenaya). Please see the attached map
for the location. Our area (area B) has
a grill, 5 large stone tables that seat about 8 people each, and a number of
nice shade trees nearby.
Halvason will furnish a variety of
barbecued meats, hot dogs, and hamburgers in addition to tablecloths, paper
plates, cups, and plastic flatware.
Guests are asked to bring additional food items of their choice. Please call Loretta Cardaronella (258-1587),
who is coordinating the picnic, to let her know if you plan to attend and what
item(s) you would like to bring. She can
also give you ideas for what to bring if you need them. It is recommended that you bring additional
folding chairs, folding tables, and blankets.
No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the city parks.
In case of inclement weather the day
of the picnic, we will have to change the location and time to our regular
meeting room at the Las Vegas Library at 2:00 p.m. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that this
doesn’t become necessary!!! If there is
any question on the day of the picnic about where we will be, you can call
either of these board members on their cell phones to get the definitive
answer: Carl Kaun = 619-995-3736;
Loretta = 237-9194
We hope you will decide to join us
for what we hope will be a relaxing and congenial social event. Family members are also welcome. Don’t forget, too, that this picnic will
provide a last chance to say goodbye to Mel Lipman and his wife Anita before
they move to Florida.
Sincerely,
HALVASON Board and LVFS Board
